Gray Solid Waste & Recycling Committee
Meeting Agenda for Wednesday,
July 11th, 2007, 5:30 p.m., Stimson Hall

Review of monthly Transfer Station Data.
Recycling bins to sell at the Transfer Station. Update and discussion:
New development: the solid waste committee has been allowed to carry over its allocation from last year and add it to this years allocation giving the committee $3000 to work with.
The town manager has directed that if we do sell recycling bins that we offer bins with the Town of Gray logo on them.
Randy has seen the recycling bins that Windham and Gorham use. These have the town emblems on them. If Brian can contact the public works departments of these towns, we can find out where they purchased their bins and the cost to have the emblem art created.
Brian also has the contact information for the bin company in Canada that we received quotes from.
Brian, do you need any help?
Hazardous Household Waste Collection (HHW): Time to crank up the promotional machinery!
HHW will take place in Gray on Saturday, August 25th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There are ONLY six weeks until the collection!
Peter has sent emails to New Gloucester, North Yarmouth, and Pownal to see if these towns wish to participate again this year.
Agenda item: committee to discuss how we wish to promote HHW this year.
