Matt Doughty has been a Town Councilor for the Town of Gray since July 2010.  Born into a military family, Matt grew up in various locations across the United States.  Graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 1998 with a degree in Geology and Geophysics he has lived, worked, and played throughout New England, eventually moving to Gray in 2004. 

With an established career in construction management, Matt is currently employed by the City of Portland and serves under the Department of Public Services.  Among various activities in Gray, Matt is a liaison to the Street Construction Ordinance Review Committee (SCORC,) Pineland, the Fair Hearing Authority, the Gray Grange No. 41 Scholarship Committee, and the Community Development Block Grant Committee (CDBG.)

When Matt isn’t engaged in construction or politics, you’ll find him enjoying time with his wife Carrie and two daughters, Madison and Catherine.  Matt’s extracurricular activities include hunting, boating, landscaping, and just about anything social.
