UPCOMING ELECTION INFORMATION
The November 2, 2010 Election will consist of three separate parts or "elections" using
two separate ballots.
Voting on November 2, 2010 will take place upstairs in the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex
from 6am-8pm
Ballot 1
The Special Referendum Municipal Election: This single sided ballot has one question and is a local election. Voters will be asked if a Charter Commission should be established to revise the existing Charter or to establish a new Charter.
Ballot 2, Front Side
General Election: This is a double sided ballot. On this front side voters will be asked to vote on the next Governor of Maine, Representative for Congress, State Senator, Representative to the Legislature, Judge of Probate, County Treasurer, Register of Deeds, Sheriff, District Attorney and County Commissioner.

Ballot 2, Back Side
State Referendum Election and Cumberland County Referendum Election: This the back side of the General Election Ballot. On this back side voters will be asked to vote on these questions:
Question 1: Citizen Initiative
Do you want to allow a casino with table games and slot machines at a single site in Oxford County, subject to local approval, with part of the profits going to specific state, local and tribal programs?
Question 2: Bond Issue
Do you favor a $5,000,000 bond issue to be awarded on a competitive basis to increase access to dental care in Maine, $3,500,000 to be used for a community-based teaching dental clinic affiliated with or operated by a college of dental medicine to be matched by $3,500,000 in other funds, and $1,500,000 to be used to create or upgrade community-based health and dental care clinics across the State to increase their capacity as teaching and dental clinics?
Question 3: Bond Issue
Do you favor a $9,750,000 bond issue to invest in land conservation and working waterfront preservation and to preserve state parks to be matched by $9,250,000 in federal and other funds?
Question 4: County Charter Referendum
Shall the county approve the new charter recommended by the charter commission?
