Schoolhouse Committee Meeting Minutes
July 13, 2009
Present were Committee Secretary & Treasurer Jennifer Dupuis, committee members Christina Kuchinski and Charlena Walker.
Meeting was called to order at 6:40 P.M.
1. Committee reviewed 2008-2009 goals and set its goals for the 2009-2010 fiscal year as follows:
a. Assess the building condition
b. Request necessary funds from town council to make needed repairs
c. Create an active volunteer list.
d. Strategize ways to fill committee vacancies and gain more volunteers
2. A report of committee’s progress in meeting its past year’s goals and establishing future year’s goals was read and approved. It will be submitted to the Town Council before the August meeting.
3. The balance of the now-closed Dry Mills Schoolhouse account was confirmed at $357.75.
4. After reviewing the correspondence from Doug Webster, Town Building Administrator, it was decided to delay opening the schoolhouse to the public until floor repairs are completed. The committee will focus its efforts on needed repairs, funding, and volunteer recruitment.
5. Charlena Walker reviewed changes to the schoolhouse brochure and plans to present the final prototype at the August meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 7:06 P.M. The next meeting will be August 17 at 6:30 P.M. at Shaker Road Daycare Center.
