2010-05-16 Dry Mills Schoolhouse Committee Minutes

Present:  Committee Secretary & Treasurer Jennifer Dupuis, committee members Christina Kuchinski, Charlena Walker, and Kathleen Wood.  Also present was Council Liaison Mark Grover.  Meeting was called to order at 2:40 P.M.

Meeting was held on the schoolhouse premises where a quick clean-up and inspection had been conducted.  It was determined that new fly strips needed to be hung, more De-Con put down on floors, a window pane repaired at the back right window, and the front door repaired where it has been separating.  Within two weeks Charlena Walker will attend to the fly strip and De-Con replacement while Jennifer Dupuis will contact Ed Milos, responsible for Gray public building maintenance, regarding the wondow and door.

Thank you to Charlena Walker for her work with the grant and the follow-up thank you card to Councilor Matt Sturgis.

Kathleen Wood accepted the nomination for Treasurer of the Dry Mills Schoolhouse Committee.  All funds and documentation will be transferred to her at the June meeting.

A spare schoolhouse key was given to Charlena Walker, as it was deemed that mare than one committee member should have a key to access the building.

Jennifer Dupuis asked that committee members give thought to filling in as Chairperson and Secretary during the time of her upcoming maternity leave from September to January.

Mark Grover encouraged the committee to seek out new members for four current and pending vacancies.  He also reminds that council that the annual report to the town council is due by July 1st.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:001 P.M.  The next schoolhouse meeting will be June 21st at 6:30 P.M. at Stimson Hall.
