Schoolhouse Committee Meeting Minutes

June 21, 2010

Present:  Committee Secretary & Treasurer Jennifer Dupuis, committee members Christina Kuchinski, Charlena Walker, and Audrey Burns.  Also present was Council Liaison Mark Grover.  Meeting was called to order at 6:33 P.M.

May meeting minutes were read and approved.

Necessary schoolhouse repairs (broken window pane and front door repair) were brought to the attention of ryan Keith who will ensure repairs are completed.  Jennifer Dupuis will follow up with Ryan Keith this week.

Charlena Walker reported that De-con and fly strips were in place for the season.  She also reported that a visitor had requested admittance to the schoolhouse, as her mother had been in attendance there when the schoolhouse was in operation.  Unfortunately, due to short notice, the committee was unable to oblige in her gaining access to the locked schoolhouse.

No further news on the grant application.

Christina Kuchinski will be acting secretary and Charlena Walker acting chairperson for a period of six months during Jennifer Kupuis’ maternity leave starting in August.

Mark Grover presented an “open” sign that will be used at the schoolhouse upon its re-opening.  Thanks Mark!  He will also place a notice at the schoolhouse to alert visitors that the schoolhouse is presently closed for repairs.

The annual report to the Gray Town Council, due by July 1st, will include the following:
