Dry Mills Schoolhouse Committee
Meeting Minutes for June 20, 2011
Present: Chairperson - Jennifer Dupuis, Christina - Kuchinski Secretary, Committee members Charlena Walker and Audrey Burns.
Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM.
- Minutes from May 16, 2011 read by Christina and approved by the committee
- Charlena found the parchment type paper at Staples for our brochures. She has the bill foir the paper and will take it to the town hall for repayment.
- Brochure Changes
- Back page, below bell and Class Group – The Dry Mills Schoolhouse offers educational presentations for students of all ages
- Jenn’s email address needs to be changed
- Open Saturdays 1-4 PM from June through September
- Rules for Teachers – should say 2 petticoats
- Open House – Saturday July 9th from 1- 4 PM.
Charlena brought Wildlife Park brochures with her so that we may see the list of upcoming events at the park. This may help us estimate the number of visitors that may stop by to see the schoolhouse.
Keys – Jenn made a sign in/sign out sheet for people who need the keys to open the schoolhouse. Jenn also has 2 keys for the latrine and 1 copy to the front door of the schoolhouse in an envelope of originals. Charlena has 1 key for front door and 1 for the latrine.
The Poster that Christina made to advertise the opening of the schoolhouse need to be copied and hung around town. Charlena will have 20 copies made at town hall.
- Slate Chalk –Audrey will contact the Norlands Center about where to obtain a supply.
- New Business:
- Jenn will obtain a visitor register with a space for email addresses for visitors to the schoolhouse
- Charlena will obtain frames for the pictures of Presidents Washington and Lincoln.
- We still need a container for donations.
- Windham Correctional is available to do any exterior painting that we may need obn the schoolhouse. Jenn will contact about scheduling this.
