Gray Public Library Trustees Meeting Minutes

Joyce called meeting to order.
Marie went over the director’s report
1. Discussed the overdue fees and their reasonableness
2. Discussed the use of volunteers
3. Discussed delinquent patrons and ways of keeping track of items.
Secretaries Report: read and approved.
Discussed email from the Recreation Department as they did not appreciate the library advertising the free pass for the wildlife park.
Birthday Club: planned starting the program in the fall.
New trustees: efforts are underway to get new trustees.
Cohen Report: discussed the putting the commission if a new report on hold until fall. Added that ideas from the public may be useful. Determined we needed a framework to determine our scope.
Joyce reported from the Casco Trustees workshop:
1. Discussed Marvel
2. Discussed Tim sample
3. Discussed on-line courses
4. Discussed how other trustees are involved with the libraries in their towns.
Mark advised: minutes need to be reported to the town.
Discussed need for year end summary. Boe agreed to draft.
