Library Minutes

Joyce opened the meeting and new member introduced each other.
Priscilla discussed the roles and responsibilities of the trustees as she understood it, and touched on their providing guidance and assistance to the director. She discussed that the trustees also played a role in hiring, developing policies, and handling and accounting for donations. She had several recommendations for the board, specifically helping the director with budget work, and the timelines behind that process. She also recommended the trustees should take part in public relations for the library.
In regards to the Library Reserve fund, Marie advised that there were $5290 in the fund.
Using the public access channel to get out information was discussed, and what type of information is really needed.
A “How to” guide for birthdays was discussed.
