Gray Public Library Trustee Meeting, February 9, 2010
Called to order at 6:31. Present: Kathy, Marie, Jody, Mark, Steve, Glenn, Joyce.
Minutes approved as submitted. Director's Report: Included new format giving percentage changes in areas of circulation between Jan. '09 and Jan. '10. Marie distributed a lengthy list of services the library provides. This is currently being complied by Margaret.
Trustees suggested other areas of services. Marie will update the list.
Glen suggested asking the Town Manager for permission to contact the sheriff's department on advice on handling a disruptive patron. Trustees agreed to recommend this action (not an official vote). Marie will keep a log of the behavior going back to past issues.
Marie provided the Trustees with 04039 census stats. She will match birth dates on library cards to census numbers for four age groups. She will compile a list of patron ages and gender for the last one and half years. In the works is possible library information to be included in the Independent newspaper.
Mark reported on technology from he Feb. 8 Town Meeting. He presented his idea for all "in town" computers to be kept up to date. Library computers will be machines handed down from other places in town. He suggested Trustees be at the town budget meeting on the Capital Plan. Trustees are urged to attend the Feb. 22 Town Budget meeting. Trustees helped Marie compile a long term CIP goals list
