Gray Public Library Trustee Meeting Minutes 3.9.10

Meeting called to order at 6:34
Minutes presented by Joyce and approved as corrected.
Marie presents director’s report. Issues discussed include:
- Delivery system between libraries once again troubled, and new company will be taking over service.
- Marie and Darcel attended a Minerva circulation meeting in February.
- The library presented its budget to Town Council on February 22
- The library’s annual report has been filed on February 23
- Update on library’s plan for addressing disruptive patron
Discussion of AED/technology funding. Will be taken from the Library Fund (formerly known as the Enterprise Account).
MLS/ Discussion of census statistics and how library can best serve community. Statistics of library patrons and community are similar; no gaping holes in service.
Discussion of Library Services brochure. Margaret to work up brochure draft to show group next month.
Library’s wireless—discussion of whether we want a password for access. Marie to ask Janet M. what most libraries in the state do. Marie and trustees will think of pros and cons and discuss next month.
Reminder of budget hearing schedule: Tuesday, March 16 is first hearing; March 22 is follow-up; April 6 is second public hearing.
