Present: Dick Wood, Matty Carroll, Margaret Hutchins, Gary Wood, Dep. Bob Ryan, and Skip Crane.
Absent: CCSO, MSP, Tom Gorrill, Steve Pelletier, William Plummer, Ken Viger.
Guest: Mike Barter (GF-R), Andy Upham.
Margaret asked if trucks were going to be restricted on Shaker Rd. from the village to the bypass. We all agreed that that wasn’t in any of the plans we knew of. The difference in vehicle volume has been quite noticeable on that part of Shaker Rd. since the bypass has opened.
Margaret questioned the placement of the “Do Not Block The Intersection” sign on West Gray Rd. for Center Rd., it is after the intersection. She noted that many times the intersection is blocked and thought it might be they are already in the intersection before they see the sign. We all agreed that it would do no harm to ask MDOT why it was where it was and if it could be moved.
Skip noted that Council has met to discuss the draft ordinance that we are working on. They felt the Dry Hydrant Committee should be reactivated and they have had one meeting. He noted that we needed to have installation standards for cisterns. Much discussion around cisterns with everyone making very useful comments. Skip noted that the Council did question cistern ownership, liability, and maintenance. Discussion about Residential Sprinkler’s and we need to include a standard within our ordinance.
The meeting was adjourned.
