Applicant is James Rice, 37 Poplar Ridge Road, Gray, Maine 04039 is requesting a 2 ½ foot front variance for 22 Poplar Ridge, Map 22-6-3, Zone RRA. The front setback is 50 feet.

James Rice reported he had walked the line with the excavator prior to construction and did not double check the line after the excavation. The line was moved by the excavator without his knowledge. Mr. Rice reported this was his first experience with something like this. Pictures were provided for the board to review. Kinderly Hodgdon noted Mr. Rice had reported the problem to the town. Miscalculations by measurements do occur and this is the primary source of relief.
