Wilkies Beach
Wilkies Beach is closed for swimming for the 2011 season.
The boat ramp will remain open, as will the beach for picnicking only.

If you have purchased a pass for this season and would like a refund, please submit your name, address, the approximate date of your purchase, where you purchased the pass, and the type of pass you purchased to admin@graymaine.org or Gray Town Hall at 24 Main Street, Gray, ME 04039


Wilkies Beach is located on North Raymond Road (off Route 26) in Gray. The beach is a Gray resident only beach. Summer residents are also allowed with proof of residency. Wilkies Beach is utilized on a yearly basis for a variety of reasons. During the off-season ice fishing and early spring/fall firshing make it a very popular site. The beach officially opens on Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day. The hours of operation are from 1 half hour after sunrise to 1 half hour after sunset.

The sandy beach itself is approximately 300 feet long. There is a swim float available for swimmers. There are picnic tables available in shade and on the beach. Two portable toilets are available. This is a SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK BEACH. No lifeguards are on duty.

During the beach season there are attendants on duty to enforce the rules of the beach and collect the walk-on fees and check season passes. Proof of residence is check at the entrance.


No alcholic beverages or glass on the beach
Unruly behavior will not be tolerated
No dogs/pets on the beach
