FACILITIES: Newbegin facilities include a small basketball court, stage, recreation room (ping pong, pool, bumperpool, air hockey, eating area, tv/vcr/stereo), small weight room and kitchen.
The outside facilities include a beach volleyball court, 2 softball fields, multi-use fields, 1 full court and 2 half court basketball courts and a small playground area with picnic tables.

RENTALS: The outside facilities are available on a first come, first serve basis and open to the general public. There are certain seasons (Little League and soccer) that the fields maybe reserved for programs. Generally speaking, we have a open door policy for the public to use the facilities at Newbegin. If staff are on duty and there are no sponsored programs scheduled, the facilities are open to use. The inside facilities are available for rental to the general public and community groups for a fee. The fees are based on what are being used and the number of participants. Please see the chart below:

There is also a custodial fee added into the facility use fee if deemed necessary by the director. This fee is generally implemented with groups of 13 or more. A rental contract needs to be completed in our office at least one week in advance.
Some of the programs that we offer at Newbegin are: Men's Top Flight 4 vs 4 Basketball League, men's and women's pick-up basketball, gymnastic lessons, youth basketball proctices, volleyball, summer recreation day camp, open gym, Happy Hands Play group, many rentals, special events and fundraisers. There are also many activities that are organized by outside groups. Shotokan Karate lessons, Junior Olympic Volleyball, meetings/registrations for Gray Little League and Patriot Soccer Club, meeting for SAD #15 and school sponsored activites, business and association meeting and much more.
