Town Manager’s Report
December 19, 2006

Town Holiday Schedule:
The town holiday schedule is posted at each municipal facility.  Please check our website at graymaine.org for the town holiday schedule.

Licenses:
The administration office has been quite busy this time of year issuing licenses.
·       Dog licenses for the year 2007 are now available at the Gray Town Office. ~All dogs 6 months of age and older are required to be licensed by January 1, 2007. ~Please bring the dog’s current rabies certificate and if applicable, neutering papers. ~Persons applying for a license after January 31st shall pay a late fee of $15.00 per dog, in addition to the annual license fee.
·       Fish and Game licenses for the year 2007 are also available.  Just a reminder to folks that we are able to issue fish and game licenses for any State of Maine resident.  The licensee does not have to be a resident of Gray in order to obtain a license from the Town of Gray.  Currently, many people are obtaining fish and game licenses for Christmas gifts.

New faces around Town Hall:
Michelle Jackson is our new Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager.  Michelle started her new position yesterday.   You may also notice that we have a new person transcribing the minutes tonight.  Diane Perry lives in New Gloucester and will be transcribing the minutes for meetings of various boards and committees.  I wish to thank Jan Castagna for her many years of service to the Town of Gray as the transcriber for the meetings of the Town Council, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Ordinance Review Committee.

Christmas Trees to the Landfill:
After the holidays, you may dispose of your Christmas trees at the transfer station.  Residents will be given an opportunity to pay a $2.00 donation per tree.  The proceeds will be used to purchase food for the food pantry at town hall.

On behalf of all the employees of the Town of Gray, we extend to the community our wishes for a happy holiday.  We desire that you and your families will be blessed in the New Year with health, love, and peace.

Respectfully Submitted,
Deborah Cabana
