Gray is part of Maine School Administrative District #15. The other town in the district is the neighboring community of New Gloucester. Together there are five schools. The elementary schools are the Russell School, the Memorial School, and the Dunn School. There are also the Gray-New Gloucester Middle School and the Gray-New
Gloucester High School.
Gray also has an active homeschooling community. The New Gloucester-Gray Homeschool Group welcomes all people who are interested in homeschooling and want support as well as the opportunity to do interesting things with the group. During the regular school year there is also an active Adult Education program.
