Guaranteed Maximum Price - bids for Phase 2 work (interior work for 1876 building, renovations to 1954 segment) have been received by the Construction Manager (Zachau).
Zachau is expected to submit the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the Phase 2 work on December 21. The total construction cost is expected to be approximately $ 1,930,000. Non Construction costs are projected to be approximately $ 420,000. Total cost = $2,350,000.
Construction Status – The Clock Tower work is near completion. Clock faces will be reinstalled today with the hands reinstalled in March/April. Staging around the clock tower will be then be repositioned. Restoration of the 1876 trim work is in progress. Final trim painting will be done in the spring.
Replacement of the front entrances to 1876 Pennell will be completed in the spring after the staging is removed. Work on the 1876 roof is in progress.
Replacement windows for 1876 segment are also scheduled to be delivered in the next few weeks.
Site work is completed until spring. Propane tanks have been installed. The base coat for the parking areas has been installed. The finish coat for the parking lot will be applied in the spring.
Phase 2 work is expected to begin in late December.
Zachau's on site supervisor is Mike Packard.
Site tours will be conducted every 4 to 6 weeks for those interested in viewing the status of the project.
