Construction Status – The clock gear works and hands were reinstalled to return the clock to running order on December 24th. Staging around the clock tower is being repositioned. Restoration of the slate roof tiles, trim work and the brick/mortar of 1876 Pennell are in progress. Final trim painting will be done in the spring. Replacement of the front entrances to 1876 Pennell will be completed in the spring after the staging is removed. Site work and the finish coat for the parking lot will be completed in the spring.
Replacement windows for 1876 segment have been delivered to the site. Installation to begin on January 11.
Roof trusses for the 1954 section, structural steel and windows for the 1954 segment have been ordered. Shop fabrication of the roof trusses will start in mid January.
Zachau's on site supervisor is Mike Packard.
The next community tour of the Pennell Construction site is scheduled for February 20 between 9 AM and 11 AM for those interested in viewing the status of the work.
