In the summer of 1936, Walter Gibson (12 Sep 1898 - 6 Dec 1985) built a cabin on Little Sebago and bought a winter home that fall on the corner of Shaker and Park Roads in Gray. He wrote most of his magazines revoling around the “The Shadow” while living in Gray. He was an accomplished magician, developed a radio scripts and wrote about 283 novels.
