Fair Season is Here!

With Maine's summer hitting its peak, Agricultural Fairs are underway and scheduled all across the state. Maine has 26 licensed Agricultural Fairs, which are attended by more than three-quarters of a million people each year. Here are a few coming up in July and August, but even more are scheduled in September and October. For a full list and more detail, visit the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs.

29-Aug 6 | Northern Maine Fair @ Presque Isle, Maine Large family fair, lots of rides and exhibits, horse pulling, harness racing, tractor pulling, demo derby. |

4 - 7 | Monmouth Fair @ Monmouth, Maine A small family agricultural fair with midway, animal exhibits, crafts and animal pull events. |
9 - 14 | Topsham Fair @ Topsham, Maine Agricultural exhibits, animal pull events, 4-H, crafts, midway and harness racing. |
11 - 20 | Skowhegan State Fair @ Skowhegan, Maine A large agricultural fair featuring a huge midway, animal exhibits, crafts, commercial exhibits, flower show, animal pull events and harness racing. |

20 - 27 | Union Fair @ Union, Maine A large family fair famous for the annual State of Maine Wild Blueberry Festival. Large midway, crafts, animal pull events, harness racing. |
25 - 28 | Piscataquis Valley Fair @ Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Agricultural exhibits, milking parlor, home made ice cream, crafts, midway, mechanical pulling, demo derbies, animal pulling and stage shows. |
