Fall Facelift at Gray Public Library

Just because the renovation and expansion project of the Gray Public Library was completed in the spring of 2014 didn’t mean we were done.  This fall, the Library, in collaboration with the Town of Gray Public Works and Buildings and Grounds departments, finally addressed a long overlooked area of the Library – namely the exterior facing Hancock Street.  The front of the building was previously shrouded behind overgrown weeds, hedges run wild, and fur trees threatening both the roof and foundation.

Before

After

With much muscle and sweat by the employees of the Town of Gray, with some planning assistance by Skillins Greenhouse, the outside is now just as wonderful and welcoming as the inside.
