Students Receive Legislative Sentiment

AUGUSTA – Sen. Cathy Breen of Falmouth welcomed Gray-New Gloucester High School’s International Baccalaureate Information Technology in a Global Society class to the State House in Augusta on February 11, 2016. The students were chosen as recipients of Verizon’s “Innovative App Challenge” Best in State Award for Maine.

“The creativity and technical expertise these students have shown in creating this app is remarkable,” said Sen. Breen. “Maine students have extraordinary talents and our Gray-New Gloucester high schoolers are proof of that.”

The students, Haley Cadran, Austin Gallant, Chloe Hedrich, Garrett Moran, Faithe Russell, and Samantha Shampine received copies of the Legislative Sentiment, a congratulations from the Maine Legislature, in honor of their achievements. They, along with advisor Matt Laney, were recognized by the Senate.
