The Gray "Take It or Leave It" center is located in the Gray Department of Public Works complex on Seagull Drive. This is where citizens are encouraged to deposit their reusable cast-offs.
There is no selling of items; the building simply serves as a way to keep "swapable" items out of the elements in order that they can be re-used. With the help of volunteers, the Take It or Leave It center allows residents to recycle re-usable items for use by other members of the community.
Take It or Leave It Center Itself Recycled
The Town of Gray is the recipient of one of our community's historic relics.
This little building used to stand across from McDonalds on Brown Street. At that location, it had been the home of an arcade, a sandwich shop, a barber shop, a sports memorabilia shop, and lastly - until just a few years ago - the home of the Monument Newspaper.
Now, thanks to the generosity of Walter Hebold of Enercon Technologies, the building has been "recycled" to the Town of Gray and serves as the home of the Gray Take It or Leave It center.
