Obituary

Nancy O. Breton (1944 - 19 Mar 1997), 53, of Westwood Road died Thursday at a Portland hospital.

She was born in York, PA, daughter of Samuel P. and Peggy Williamson James Officer, attended schools there and graduated from the Morse School of Art in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Breton was an accomplished artist.  She had been art director for Philadelphis Gas Works and an artist for Merck, Sharp and Dohme.  Much of her art work is displayed around Gray.  She also had an extensive personal portfolio.

She was a member of the Gray Fire Department and Auxiliary, the Zoning Board of Appeals, Gray Health Clinic, the Conservation Commission, Audubon Society, Maine Orchid Society, vice president of the Deering Grange of Portland, a supporter of Ducks Unlimited and attended Gray Congregational Church.

She was knowledgeable about botany, enjoyed flowers and house plants, gourmet cooking and caring for a menagerie of animals.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Breton of Gray; and a son, Michael J. of Portland. 

A funeral will be held at 2PM Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road.
