In Recognition For: Service to the Town of Gray

At the age of 20, John Warren Frank (12 Jun 1834 - 30 Dec 1923) went to Nevada where he worked in lumber.  He returned to Gray in 1858 and took up farming.  He enlisted in the Civil War and served in Company C of the 25th Maine Regiment.  He was an agent for Walter A. Wood, a farm machinery company. He served as Selectman several times.  He was in charge of the construction of Stimson Memorial Hall and was one of its trustees.

Note: The Town of Gray has John W. Frank’s death record dated Dec 30, 1923 in Gray.  He was 89.  His parents were Alpheus Frank & Naomi Stimson.  [Born c. 1834].  Burial at Gray Village Cemetery; Find a Grave Memorial # 59529897.
