Hunt, David (1745-1824)

In Recognition For: Service to the Town of Gray

David Hunt (18 Jul 1745 - 27 Jul 1824) kept the first tavern and store in Gray.  It was recorded that Mr. Hunt had a tavern, store and shoe shop from 1771-1776.  These may have been run out of his home with Mr. Hunt putting up travelers and supplying whatever might be needed for the next leg of their journey.  He was a Selectman in Gray for several terms from 1781-1794 and was Treasurer in 1783-1785.
