Ticks and Tick Borne Diseases - Prevention Course

Please join us to learn about ticks, habitat, prevention and tick-borne diseases with Emer Smith—MPH, Maine CDC Field Epidemiologist and Chuck Lubelczyk, BS, MPH, Field Biologist Maine Medical Research.

For: Local health officers, safety officers, teachers, nurses, librarians, scout leaders, childcare providers, summer camp counselors, and anyone who works with the public as a group leader.

A free of charge workshop training session presented by the Maine CDC Public Health Corps about preventing mosquito and tickborne disease. Our goal is to equip you with a set of videos and tools which you can use to increase awareness about these diseases to others in your community. We will go through the videos as a group and talk about the important points from each video, followed by questions and answers.

After the course, participants will receive a certificate and tick kits.
