Annual ecomaine Open House

Join ecomaine for the one Saturday of the year when it opens its doors for tours, free breakfast, free electronic waste collection, fun activities for the kids and more! This year, they will also have more than a dozen vendors under the big tent to inspire you to waste less and reuse and recycle.

The annual Recycling Open House is Saturday, Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the ecomaine Recycling Facility, 62 Blueberry Road in Portland. They are excited to have an expanded group of exhibitors under their tent this year and lots of fun children’s activities, including a “recycleween” up-cycled Halloween costume-making activity led by the Maine Resource Recovery Association and a bin-painting activity using reclaimed “seconds” paint donated by PaintCare and Sherwin-Williams.

Don’t forget to bring your electronic waste – ecomaine will be collecting that for free as well!
