Joshua Tiffany Appointed Interim Town Manager, Search for Town Manager Underway

The Town Council is now fielding proposals from search firms to find a full-time Town Manager.

At their meeting on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the Gray Town Council appointed Joshua Tiffany, Director of Libraries, Communications, and IT, as Interim Town Manager effective at noon on Friday, September 8, 2023, immediately following current Town Manager Nathaniel Rudy’s tenure.

Tiffany, who lives in Gray, has been the Gray Public Library’s director since 2013, and in that time spearheaded the development of the library into a valuable and robust community resource. In 2022, he assumed directorial responsibilities for Gray’s Communications and IT department and helped that department meet the Town’s technological needs and future planning.

The Town Council is now fielding proposals from search firms to find a full-time Town Manager. Once selected, this firm will coordinate all aspects of the search process, including gathering resumes, soliciting resident feedback, conducting initial interviews, and presenting candidates for Council consideration.
