Public Notice: September 25th Town Council Workshop for Ordinance Amendments

Notice is hereby given that the Gray Town Council will host a workshop at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, to review ordinance amendments related to compliance with the State Chaptered Law 672 (formerly LD2003) “An Act to Implement the Recommendations of the Commission to Increase Housing Opportunities in Maine by Studying Zoning and Land Use Restrictions.”

The amendments currently before the board regard implementation of the sections of the law that address affordable housing and housing density, 30-A MRSA Sections 4364 and 4364-A. The law also includes provisions for accessory dwelling units, which were previously approved by the Town Council and became effective in June 2023.
