GNG Girls Basketball Claim Southern Maine Class B Championship!
On Saturday, February 20, the Gray-New Gloucester Girls’ Basketball Team claimed the Southern Maine Class B Championship with a 45-30 victory over the Lincoln Academy Eagles. The Patriots jumped out to a 10-0 lead and maintained a 24-16 advantage at halftime. The defensive effort was outstanding as GNG allowed only 3 Lincoln Academy points in the 3rd quarter. Grace Kariotis led the Patriots with 13 points while Skye Conley contributed 10 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.
The team will travel to Bangor on Friday, 2/26 to take on Houlton in the Class B State Championship Game.
