Congratulations Matt Sturgis, New Cape Elizabeth Town Manager

The Cape Elizabeth Town Council has announced the selection of Matthew Sturgis as its next town manager. Sturgis currently serves as tax assessor for Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough, and was selected from a field of 38 applicants from all over the country following a search by the Cape Elizabeth Town Council that began last September.
Sturgis is scheduled to begin his duties with Cape Elizabeth on Jan. 30. The Gray Town Council will take action on Tuesday, January 17th as to how they plan to select a person to fill the vacancy until the June 13th Election. At that time, there will be a vote for one year, the balance of a three-year term.
