GNG Teacher/Students Recognized

"It was great to have Gray-New Gloucester High School teacher Matt Laney and his students (Emily Brewer, Hannah Dawkins, Nikki Michaud, Taitum Rice, Jasmine Taudvin) visit the Capitol to be recognized for winning the Verizon Innovative Learning App Challenge for the fourth year in a row.
Under Matt's guidance, the students developed a smartphone app, Opportuniteen, that makes finding jobs and volunteer opportunities for students a breeze. I am so impressed by their hard work and technological know-how, and I hope these bright kids stay right here in Maine and help usher in a new, tech-savvy workforce."
