Our Honored Dead

May 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM

Join the Maine Living History Association as they kick off a campaign to restore Memorial Day to its original date of May 30th.

The afternoon includes a ceremony and march to the Civil War monument in Monument Square and then on to Gray Village Cemetery to honor Maine's adopted Confederate soldier, “The Stranger” as well as his adoptive family, The Colley's. After there will be refreshments and stories of the war.

This event will honor ALL who fought.   We look forward to having reenactors from the blue and the gray.
