Proposed 2016 Zoning Ordinance Changes

Notice is hereby given that the Gray Town Council will hold a first reading on January 19, 2016 at the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex, 24 Main Street, Gray, Maine to receive public comments on proposed amendments to both the Town of Gray Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 402) and Shoreland Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 403). The amendments to 402 include Article 2 (Definitions), Article 5 (Zoning District Regulations), Article 7 (Performance Standards), Article 10 (Site Plan Review). Proposed changes include adding In-Home Office use and revising standards for both Accessory Apartments and Back-lot Development. Amendments to 403 are to adjust the authority of the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding utilizing the Disability Variance as allowed for in State Statute (30-A M.R.S.A. 4353, Section 4-A).
