Public Notice: Proposed changes to the Gray Street, Subdivision, and Zoning Ordinances

Notice is hereby given that the Gray Town Council will hold a first reading on October 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex, 24 Main Street, Gray, Maine, to receive public comments on proposed amendments to three Town Ordinances; Street (Chapter 400), Subdivision (Chapter 401), and Zoning (Chapter 402).
- Street Ordinance changes include clarifying the applicability for additional dwelling units and amend non-residential curb cut standards.
- Subdivision revisions comprise of eliminating fire ponds for fire protection, revising public water applicability and limiting applicants with outstanding violations.
- Zoning amendments involve definition additions/eliminations, adjusting Ordinance amendment procedures, medical marijuana revisions, and changing thresholds for minor/major Site Plan Review. The most substantive Zoning amendments are to the Table of Permitted Uses (402.5.3) including eliminating cluster developments Town-wide.
