Road work on Route 202 Bridge over Turnpike in Gray begins Wednesday, May 3.  Bridge will be down to one lane in each direction through July.

Starting Wednesday, May 3, 2017, the Route 202 Bridge over the Maine Turnpike in Gray will be reduced to one lane in each direction due to road work.  The lanes will be narrowed to 10-foot wide in each direction throughout the duration of the work which should be completed in July.  Motorists may experience slowed traffic in this area.

The contractor is planning to restripe the route 202 bridge over the turnpike Wednesday, May 3, which will mean there will only be one lane westbound and one lane eastbound. The lanes will be narrow, 10’-0” wide in each direction. There may be some traffic flow issues, however, the traffic lights at each of the turnpike entrances are interconnected which should help with traffic flow some. Maine Turnpike Authority will observe the traffic and make any adjustments to the timing of the signals as possible.
