School Spirit Challenge

Gray-New Gloucester High School has once again been selected to be a part of WGME’s School Spirit Challenge!

The school spirit challenge is a friendly competition between schools to foster pride while helping the community. WGME and the Good Shepherd Food Bank designed the challenge to promote community and good stewardship in high school students throughout Central and Southern Maine through an ongoing food drive.

The School Spirit Challenge is all about showing off everything that makes our high school a great place, and demonstrating why we have the best school and the most community spirit in the State of Maine. We will be competing against eight other schools to raise the most pounds of food through February 12th.  Our fundraising goal at GNGHS is $25,000 (or 100,000 pounds of food; as each dollar buys 4 pounds of food).  Last year’s winner raised 88,000 pounds of food, so we know we have to really work hard to beat that goal!!!

Please consider joining Gray-New Gloucester High School as a partner in this challenge. Participating in this challenge will not only benefit many of our friends and neighbors in Maine; it will also spotlight the many positive aspects of our Gray-New Gloucester communities as the winners of the coveted WGME School Spirit Competition!

Donating is easy!  Just go to:  www.gsfb.org/donate/vfd/528 You can donate as individuals or as a business partner.  Those who pledge $250 (or 1250 pounds of food) or more will have the opportunity to be featured during WGME's morning broadcasts at the G-NG High School during the spirit assembly on February 12, 2016.   You can also drop off at any of the five District Schools.
