The Opportunity Alliance Seeks Volunteers

The Opportunity Alliance, a community action agency, is seeking volunteers to join Committees, the Board of Directors, and other opportunities for engagement.

In 2011, PROP (Peoples Regional Opportunity Program) and Youth Alternatives Ingraham merged to form The Opportunity Alliance. The new organization serves children, youth, and adults; individuals, families, and communities throughout Maine.

The Opportunity Alliance is comprised of 50 integrated community based and clinical programs serving more than 20,000 people annually. For more than 40 years, they have provided early education and child care, senior volunteer programming, nutrition programming, advocacy, information and referral, mental health, and substance abuse treatment, as well as basic needs for people living in poverty. They continually seek ways of integrating programs into a seamless continuum of care.
