Community-Wide Roadside Clean Up - Monday, April 20

PLEASE NOTE: THIS INVITATION DOES NOT IN ANY WAY OVERRIDE THE NECESSITY TO COMPLY WITH THE CURRENT STAY-AT-HOME AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS. WE ARE ASKING THAT YOU PARTICIPATE BY CLEANING YOUR OWN PROPERTY LINES AND ROADSIDE.

The Recycling Committee would like to invite the community to do some road-side clean-up for Earth Day this year. Many people have been picking up litter on their walks during the pandemic. Let's join in that effort with more people!

It is hard with the pandemic order to get together in community, or even to bump into friends at the recycling center. We are hoping that the Earth Day clean-up will be a way for the community to join in a positive community-pride action together, while we are separated. 

We recommend that you bring a bag or a bucket and use tongs to pick up ant trash you may find. We highly recommend wearing gloves. Post your selfies, with your collected trash, on Facebook with the hashtags #graymaine and #earthday2020.
