Executive Order Update - PUBLIC SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENT

In compliance to the Executive Order by Governor Janet Mills on March 24, 2020, the Town of Gray will be providing essential services only.  All town buildings will remain closed to the public.  The services for

The Town of Gray will be as follows until April 8th:

  • The library will be closed.  Limited online services will be provided for this duration.
  • Recreation Activities (including childcare) have all been suspended until further notice.
  • Public Works, Transfer Station and Buildings and Grounds staff will be working in two different teams to minimize cross-contact.  Please call or email if you need assistance.
  • Most Town Hall staff will be working from home.  Two individuals will be processing various mail and tax payments received via the mail or from the drop box for a few hours each morning at Town Hall. Staff will attempt to respond to all phone messages within 24 hours (except messages left after noon on Friday until Monday). Taxes are now due May 4th.
  • Code Enforcement Officers will be performing inspections in the field with the exception of renovations in homes that are currently lived in. These will be completed later.
  • Building Permit applications will be processed. These applications must be submitted online. 
  • General Assistance will be available. Please call 657-3339 x106 to speak with or leave a message for the General Assistance Administrator.
  • The Transfer Station is open regular hours but is taking household trash only.
  • Public Safety has no change of services except the building remains closed to the public.
  • Town Council meetings will be conducted in a virtual format.  Please check the website for more information.
