Gray Town Manager Selects Kyle Hadyniak as Director of Communications and IT

Gray Town Manager Michael Foley has selected Kyle Hadyniak, Gray’s current Interim Director of Communications and IT, as permanent director of that department. Kyle started working for Gray in September 2021 as Digital Media Coordinator, and then assumed interim directorship responsibilities in September 2023.

“In my short time working with Kyle, I’ve seen his passion for technology and penchant for communication, elements he uses hand in hand to great effect,” said Foley. “I look forward to him serving the Gray community with his well-honed communication skills and knowledge of current and trending technology.”

As Director of Communications and IT, Kyle is responsible for managing Gray Community Television; procuring hardware and software for Town staff; issuing all public-facing communications on Gray’s various digital channels (such as social media and graymaine.org); and helping Town staff adopt new and emerging technologies to help make their work more effective and efficient, among other things.

Kyle has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Maine. He previously worked for the State of Maine and News Center Maine.
