Gray Water District to Conduct Water Flushing in August

The Gray Water District will be conducting system-wide flushing of the water mains to clean them of rust and sediment which settles during periods of low flows. This is done in coordination with the Water District’s corrosion control program to provide the necessary movement of water for protection against contamination and to enhance the quality of the water within the system.

Flushing will begin on or about August 21, 2023, and will continue until finished. During this process, you may experience some water discoloration and possibly some sediment gathering in faucet strainers. If this occurs, remove the strainers, flush water through until it becomes clear, then clean the strainers and reinstall them.
