Open Space Committee Seeking Members - Deadline Extended!

Dear Town of Gray Residents,

I am pleased to invite you to consider becoming a member of the newly-formed Gray Open Space Committee.

It is our hope to form a dedicated committee of 7 members with 2 alternatives, to serve on an annual basis. This committee will have a lasting effect and it will be exciting to play a part in it.

Some of our goals will be to:

  • Create a Statement of Purpose and a Landscape Vision
  • Work with the Comprehensive Plan Committee on Open Space Issue
  • Identify existing and proposed areas of growth
  • Inventory all public lands, conservation areas, habitat /protected areas and recreational lands
  • Hold public meetings on a monthly basis and include an outreach process to land owners
  • Work with local land trusts
  • Create maps and brochures for public use and education

The application deadline has been extended to 9/6 at noon to the Town Office.
