Public Notice: Planning Board to Host Public Hearings on October 16, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Gray Planning Board will review and host public hearings on Monday, October 16 at 7 p.m., at the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex, 24 Main Street, Gray on the following applications:

  1. A request by 38 Blackthorne LLC, represented by Terradyn Consultants, LLC, to amend the Hemlock Woods subdivision located adjacent to Blackthorne Lane in a Rural Residential Agricultural zoning district. The proposed amendments show Blackthorne Lane where it was actually constructed and prior lot divisions in accordance with prior enforcement that has been resolved. The proposed amendment is to create one new backlot for an existing dwelling on Tax Map 53, Lot 43-02.
  2. A request by McDonnell Brothers Custom Builders, LLC, represented by DM Roma Consulting Engineers, for an amendment to the Cambell Acres subdivision, to divide the +/- 7-acre parcel off Jenny Drive, at Tax Map 28, Lot 17-28-03, into three lots. The proposal is subject to major subdivision plan review, located in the Rural Residential & Agricultural zoning district.

The Planning Board will also have a public hearing Monday, October 16 on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 402, to add a new section, 402.8.11: Self-storage facility standards; and to amend the Village Center/VC Proper Design Standards. The Town Council will hold a public hearing/second reading on these amendments at their meeting on Oct.17, 2023.
