Timothy Estes Selected as New Public Works Director for Gray

Town Manager Michael Foley is pleased to announce the promotion of Timothy Estes to the position of Director of Public Works. Tim has worked for the Town’s Public Works Department for more than nine years, and in recent years has held the positions of Foreman (since 2020) and Interim Director (since 2022). Tim’s remarkable dedication, combined with his organizational skills, has contributed to his team’s continued success and stability.

“Having come to know Tim in the past month and learn from his team the confidence they have in him, I have full confidence he will lead Public Works with the same diligence and determination he has consistently shown in his previous roles. With Tim’s promotion as Director, the recruitment process to fill the Foreman position will begin immediately with an internal posting. This position is a critical role for the Town, necessary to support the Public Works Department, and we look forward to the opportunity to promote one of the dedicated members of the department. This subsequent promotion will create an additional opening within the department for a Light Equipment Operator and recruitment for this position will begin immediately as well.
