UPDATED (8/17/23): The Town Meeting to vote on a revised FY24 budget will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Gray-New Gloucester High School. The Town Council will hold a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the high school to discuss the warrant articles, and then the Town Meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. and will last no later than 5 p.m.

There will be childcare offered for this event via the Gray Recreation Department. Visit their website for registration details. Children MUST be registered before the Town Meeting; no drop-ins are available. 

Ahead of the Town Meeting, the Town Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex at 24 Main Street in Gray. This hearing is a chance for residents to offer feedback about the warrant articles.

Following the June 2023 election, Gray's government has been working on another budget for voter approval in September 2023. Following the June election, the Gray Town Council and Town staff are crafting a budget that meets the needs of Gray's future and its residents. 

The Gray Town Council encourages residents to stay informed of the budget revision process in preparation for the vote. The Town Council is hosting workshops to discuss the FY24 budget. The workshops are listed on our Revised FY24 Budget page. 

You can attend these workshops in person, or via Zoom. You can watch the workshops live on Gray Community Television, and on demand via YouTube.

Following the workshops, the Town Council will meet in August for a special meeting to approve warrant articles. Finally, a Town Meeting will be held in September so residents can vote to approve the budget as presented, or modify the budget.
