Martin Meaney

Martin Meaney was born in 1947 in White Plains, New York, where he was educated in the local parochial schools. He attended Pace University until 1968, where he received an Associate’s degree in Accounting, and then served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until 1971. He attained the rank of Specialist E-5.

He married his wife, Suzanne, in 1970, and they have two children, Elizabeth and James Michael.  

He worked as a firefighter for the City of White Plains, N.Y., from 1974 to 1996. 

While a firefighter, he completed his Bachelor’s degree (BBA) in 1991 with a Major in Management.

His daughter, Elizabeth, is a nationally recognized science educator and his son, James Michael, is a disabled Vet having served two tours in Iraq as an Army Combat Engineer. He hasfive grandchildren, the oldest of whom is studying to be a Physician's Assistant, and her younger sister is studying business in college. 

Meaney and his wife have lived in Colorado, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Florida, and Maine. They traveled for 20 months full time in an RV prior to living in Florida, but the Florida climate proved inhospitable. 

He looks forward to serving the community in a fiscally responsible manner.
