Veteran Town of Gray Employee Judy Rand Promoted to Deputy Clerk

With Judy’s promotion, the recruitment process to fill the Assistant Clerk position will begin immediately.

Gray Town Clerk Britt Barton is pleased to announce the promotion of Judy Rand to Deputy Clerk. Judy has served as Assistant Clerk for more than 10 years.

“Prior to my arrival last year, Judy single-handedly maintained the office’s daily operations for several months and continued to provide an exceptionally high level of customer service to our residents,” said Barton. “I have truly appreciated Judy’s dedication and service mindset. This promotion is well-deserved.”

The Deputy Clerk directly supports the Town Clerk and has frequent contact with the public, other Town of Gray employees, and Town officials.

With Judy’s promotion to Deputy Clerk, the recruitment process to fill the Assistant Clerk position will begin immediately.  This position performs a variety of duties, such as registration of motor vehicles; collection of taxes and other payments/fees; digital records/file management; the processing of various licenses and permits; assisting with elections; and assuring ongoing recording and reporting of all activity.
